Cheshire Community Foundation was ‘highly commended’ in two categories at the prestigious North West Charity Awards.
The awards, in their second year, were held at The Principal in Manchester with charities from across the region attending.
CCF’s Chair, Joelle Warren, was highly commended in the Charity Trustee of the Year category. The category recognised trustees who have made an outstanding contribution to their charity during the past 12 months.
CCF was also highly commended in the Fundraising Campaign of the year category for pioneering the hugely successful Young Minds Matter Programme. The programme has so far awarded over £200,000 to four projects tackling mental health issues among young people in Cheshire and Warrington.
The category was looking for campaigns which had come up with ‘creative fundraising campaigns that exceed their target’.
Zoe Sheppard, CEO of Cheshire Community Foundation, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised in these prestigious awards. The standard of entries was extremely high across all of the categories and the evening was a terrific celebration of all the amazing things being achieved by Third Sector organisations in the region.”
