Bloomingart’s objectives are to bring a happier and healthier lifestyle through the window of art. Targeting isolated older people is one of the things they are so passionate about. Delivering art lessons will up skill individuals and is life changing. Not only do they get to learn all about art, they talk and make friends along the way, which leads onto communication about other areas they may be struggling in, like low moods. The art although vastly important becomes secondary and their growth and moving forward becomes evident. Giving them the tools means they can also paint using different medias which gives a new purpose and interest in daily life. Bloomingart’s objectives are not only to teach art to individuals, but to empower them too. It enables confidence to grow so they are more likely to access other services, which has been shown to be very successful.
31/01/17, Time to Bloom – this project is to deliver taught art sessions to a group of isolated individuals in a highly populated council estate area, reaching out to those older people with poor health, depression and mobility conditions.
