Cheshire West and Chester
Youth Federation is a youth charity supporting a range of activities for children and young people across Cheshire. The “Equipped” project will work with young people to help them access healthy activities to improve their health and well being.
The funding provided by Cheshire Community Foundation, has contributed towards staffing costs to deliver a 12 week project of 2 days per week, one in each of the following areas; Blacon in Chester and Grange in Winsford.
01/08/17, Cyber Challenge Cheshire – Girls – The project tackles the growing concerns around cyber security threats and the shortfall in cyber professionals and aims to inspire girls to learn more about cyber security. Through school events across Cheshire, the half-day sessions will enable over 200 female students to learn more about the cyber industry, cyber security careers and to take part in coding and encryption challenges. As a result of the events more young girls will be better informed about STEM career options.
