The Foundation supports thousands of charities and voluntary groups across Cheshire and Warrington, addressing inequalities and working together to help create opportunities for those that need help the most.

On 2nd April we launched a major campaign to raise £1 million to provide vital support to charities helping vulnerable people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.  Our priorities will be to increase capacity for organisations providing emergency support, such as foodbanks or benefits advice and to provide funding to help charities which coordinate community response and to support volunteers.

Working in partnership with the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs MBE, the new High Sheriff of Cheshire Nick Hopkinson MBE, DL and in collaboration with the Steve Morgan Foundation, the appeal has the potential to reach £2 million, as all funds raised could receive match funding from the Steve Morgan Foundation.  This means that every £1 you donate could generate up to £2 for the charities we support.

We aim to ensure that our valued and vital charities in Cheshire and Warrington are not stretched to breaking point, that they receive the additional support they need and that by supporting the charitable sector we all play a part in reducing pressure on the NHS. Cheshire Community Foundation are expert grant-makers,  and we will make sure that the money you donate reaches right to the heart of the local communities that need it the most.

If you would like to help the most vulnerable members of your community through this terrible crisis, please DONATE HERE (for donations of up to £500), or for larger donations please email or call 01606 330 607.

Charities seeking funding can apply here or contact the grants team via email at Grants of up to £10,000 are available in the first instance, with additional further funding a possibility should the need arise.
