Cheshire Community Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, food safety and infection prevention solutions and services.
The company, which employs 250 people in Northwich, the site of its U.K. and Ireland headquarters, recognises the importance of supporting the local communities where their teams live and work and so has committed £25,000 annually for the next five years, starting in 2020 to the ForCheshireWest Fund, managed by CCF. The donation will be a combination of corporate giving and associate fundraising. All employee pledges will be matched by Ecolab to add to the company’s donation.
“As an organisation, we believe that Ecolab can and should play a vital role in helping our local communities,” said Paul Hey, country manager U.K. and Ireland at Ecolab. “It is a privilege to be able to support these charities, providing a lifeline to hard-pressed local people, especially at this difficult time. We trust CCF’s unique knowledge of the local charitable landscape to maximise the impact of our giving and expertly distribute the funds to make an impact on those most in need.”
Ecolab has joined the ForCheshireWest Fund grants panel to provide counsel with other giving members on the allocation of donations. Additionally, the company is exploring volunteering activities to offer further opportunities to associates to help charities supported by Cheshire Community Foundation.
ForCheshireWest is a place-based fund giving to a host of charities within Cheshire West. Recent grants have helped to fund support for new mums with mental health issues, people with neuromuscular conditions, vulnerable young people and a memory-making charity for children living with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Ecolab joins MBNA and For Housing in choosing this fund as the best way to ensure their giving has the most impact in the local community.
