Winsford Youth & Community Forum

Winsford Youth & Community Forum works with and on behalf of children and young people throughout Winsford, by providing activities, facilities and services for children and young people aged 8-25 often by working in partnership with other organisations.

Winsford Youth Forum

Winsford Youth Forum provide a range of activities for children and young people in Winsford, Cheshire West and Chester. They identified a need to promote their services more widely, to raise service awareness to young people in the local area. The Cheshire Community Foundation grant enabled staff to hold an open day and helped to improve their website and social media and marketing materials to increase membership.


Winterley Methodist Church & Community Centre

Winterley Methodist Church has been a focal point for the community for over 150 years and has a healthy and increasing usage by local residents. The church provides a range of community services to the village of Winterley, near Sandbach.

14/12/16, Winterley Methodist Church & Community Centre – this project is a refurbishment of the existing church and hall, toilets and kitchen, to change the premises into a modern community facility.


Wirral Community Police Boxing Club

Wirral Community Police Boxing Club identified a need to provide exercise and activity sessions for young people engaged in –  or at risk of anti-social behaviour,  with a particular focus on the Traveller community in the Rossmore area. The Cheshire Community Foundation grant paid for coaching sessional costs.


Working Title Artists Collective

Working Title Artists Collective provides community arts based activities. The Art Seed Winter Term project provides 15 art taster sessions in various venues throughout Northwich where people are less likely to engage in creative arts. The Cheshire Community Foundation grant will pay for sessional costs, room hire and materials.

Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise provides the potential for our young people to make sure they nurtured and developed ready for the working world. Their Mission is to inspire and equip young people for life through enterprise and that every young person in the UK should leave education with the knowledge,skills and attitudes to succeed in work and in life. Grant funding allowed the delivery of a Company Programme in 8 schools in disadvantaged areas of Cheshire.

Youth Federation

Youth Federation is a youth charity supporting a range of activities for children and young people across Cheshire. The “Equipped” project will work with young people to help them access healthy activities to improve their health and well being.

The funding provided by Cheshire Community Foundation, has contributed towards staffing costs to deliver a 12 week project of 2 days per week, one in each of the following areas; Blacon in Chester and Grange in Winsford.
