A pan Cheshire fundraising initiative has been launched, backed by the Lord Lieutenant and the High Sheriff of Cheshire with the support of the three local authorities and managed by Cheshire Community Foundation to put food on the table for families in Cheshire and Warrington who are living on a knife-edge and struggling to cope.
Whilst spurred on by Christmas and the immediate need, the ultimate goal is to help end food poverty in Cheshire and Warrington in the long term. Funds are pouring in as the county shows support for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our communities.
As a guide to donations, as little as £20 can buy a food box to feed a family of four, but of course, the more you give, the more people we can help.
