Active Communities embodies the transformative power of Endowment Funds by addressing some of the most pressing needs across Cheshire. Their work supports sport and health and well-being activities, creating meaningful improvements in health and community connections through increased activity.
Their efforts have a particular focus on:
- -Children facing disadvantage, encouraging them to engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
- -Women, increasing their participation in sports and health-focused initiatives to enhance their overall well-being.
- -The elderly, supporting activities that promote active lifestyles and foster social inclusion.
- -Broader support for homelessness, poverty relief, and women’s charities, extending their impact to address critical social challenges.
Eight years in, Active Communities has achieved an incredible milestone: a 100% return on investment in grants, meaning they have now given back in grants the full value of the initial donation. From here on, they will be making grants beyond the value of the original donation, forever.
With support from Cheshire Community Foundation, Active Communities continues to empower people of all ages and backgrounds, creating healthier, more connected communities across the region for generations to come.
