Cheshire’s Response to Covid-19

When Covid-19 struck, Cheshire responded with huge generosity.

The need for support skyrocketed and 37% of local charities told us they were set to fold unless they received immediate support. Our appeal snowballed and the donations came flooding in. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of local people.

We noticed that 90% of the grant applications we received from local charities were to support mental health. Existing sufferers were struggling to access their usual support, plus new referrals were being made every day. Our Cheshire Minds Matter programme raised £419,000 for this specific area of need.

This video celebrates just a few of the many grants made through the Covid-19 response appeal, and the huge difference they made to local people’s lives.
