Cheshire Community Foundation is thrilled to announce a significant transition in its leadership as Zoe Sheppard, CEO, embarks on a new role as a Trustee, marking the culmination of eight incredible years at the helm.
Under Zoe’s dedicated leadership, Cheshire Community Foundation has experienced remarkable growth and made an indelible impact on the communities of Cheshire and Warrington. Her tenure has been characterized by a dynamic and energetic commitment to philanthropy and strategic community development.
I’m incredibly proud of the journey we’ve embarked upon at Cheshire Community Foundation, and so inspired by what we’ve achieved together during my time. To date, we’ve awarded over £12.5 million in grants, to projects that helped 900,000 people. Together, we even survived a pandemic, and quickly got help to the people who needed it most. The incredible generosity of our donors has been the driving force behind our achievements. It really is moving to think of all the kindness, all those gifts, entrusted to us. As I take on this new role, I’m excited to remain closely connected to our mission and to witness the continued growth and impact of the Foundation.
Cheshire Community Foundation’s mission is to connect donors with local causes and support a wide range of charitable initiatives that foster positive change in the region. This transition comes at a time when the organisation is poised for further expansion, and the successful applicant will be uniquely placed to steer this growth. As one of the largest sources of grant funding in the region, the role of CEO offers an opportunity to shape the future distribution of support in Cheshire and Warrington.
We are seeking an exceptional individual – someone energetic and passionate, with the skills, drive and commitment that inspires others to take positive action for the benefit of our communities. Our new CEO will be joining a strong and committed team and will be excited and hugely motivated by the opportunity to lead our amazing organisation to meet and exceed our ambitious goals. Ultimately, they will play a pivotal role in ensuring our presence and support for the entire community for now, and in perpetuity.
