We’re opening up our Warrington Older Peoples Main Grants Programme nice and early this year in order to give hard pushed charities plenty of time to plan their projects and put their applications in.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available to groups supporting  people over the age of 50,  and for this round we are particularly keen to prioritise activities, over one year, which focus on post-covid recovery/support for older people –  including bereavement support, counselling, befriending and giving confidence to older people to re-join social activities (when the social distancing guidelines allow).  Projects would need to start in October 2020 for one year.

We do recognise that some groups might not be meeting at all and need to think carefully about when then can re-open (and what they can deliver) going forward, and others might be working flat out directly delivering covid-19 support and may need more time to work up an application.

Projects would need to start in October 2020 for one year and the deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 3rd August, to be reviewed by our grants panel in September.

The application form is available here, and if you would like to get in touch with a member of our grants team to talk through your application, email grants@cheshirecommunityfoundation.org.uk
