Our very own CEO Zoe Sheppard has been appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Cheshire, in recognition of her incredible achievements in the voluntary sector through CCF. She is an expert in local giving, and the powerhouse behind our achievement of awarding 8m of grants in 8 years.

“I am honoured and thrilled to be appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Cheshire. We are also delighted that Chris Purslow, who has so generously supported and advised Cheshire Community Foundation as Chair of the Warrington Impact Group, has also been recognised with this special honour.”

Chris Purslow is an active supporter of CCF and trustee of Warrington Youth Club. We want to publicly recognise his generosity as a local philanthropist and extend our congratulations to him for this honour.

In addition to the Deputy Lieutenancies, Her Majesty has made two more important appointments in Cheshire.

Robert Mee has become the new High Sheriff of Cheshire, replacing Nick ‘Hoppy’ Hopkinson. The role is for one year and we look forward to collaborating to support Cheshire’s voluntary sector.

Lady Redmond MBE DL has been appointed as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Cheshire in succession to Mr David Briggs CVO, MBE, KStJ, CCF’s Founder and President, with effect from 25th August. A huge thank you to David for the invaluable support he has provided over the years and congratulations to Alexis. We forward to working together for years to come!
