We were so sad to hear the news of the death of Nick Hopkinson MBE, DL, or ‘Hoppy’ to his friends.
Hoppy supported CCF by raising over £1 million during his year as High Sheriff to get help and food to the most vulnerable in Cheshire impacted by Covid. He did so with such commitment and infectious enthusiasm, that others couldn’t help but follow his lead.
Hoppy raised funds for a raft of different Cheshire small charities, and was the High Sheriff 2020 really needed.
He was an extraordinary man – a superhero. Our thoughts are with his family at such a sad time.
