Brighter futures on the horizon for young people across the UK as new Community Fund launches.
At the heart of communities there are young people with the potential to achieve amazing things – but only if the opportunities are available to them. Today, a new Fund has been unveiled to ignite dreams, open doors and show young people that they have the power to design their own future.
The Building Brighter Futures Fund, which is delivered in partnership with us at CCF, some fellow Community Foundations across the UK and EMR, a global leader in sustainable materials, is built on the belief that every young person should have the same chances to grow, achieve, learn and thrive.
By partnering with charities that share the same belief, the newly launched fund will provide essential resources and financial support to local projects that are already working tirelessly to empower young people, giving them the boost they need to maximise their impact and expand their reach.
Delivered by local Community Foundations across the UK, and managed directly by Cheshire Community Foundation, the Fund awards grants to local charities that are offering employment, education or health and social care opportunities to young people.
The Building Brighter Futures Fund launched with a £214,000 donation from EMR and has already supported 12 charities in the North East, North West, West Midlands and London.

We look forward to extending the programme to more regional partners in future.”
