Companies and people who love Cheshire and Warrington, and trust us as the experts in local giving. They are aligned with our values and mission, and know that they couldn’t achieve a social impact alone. Whether giving though a business or B-Corp, leaving a gift in their will or giving personally during their lifetime, our donors enjoy all the rewards of doing local good, without the burden of due diligence or administration.

Local groups doing local good, in Cheshire and Warrington. They are often led by inspiring people with lived experience of a challenge, and strengthened by volunteers. We have a dialogue, keeping us abreast of community needs and local developments in the sector. We aim to be proportionate in what we expect from our applicants. We are supportive to projects in delivery, when they are facing challenges or delays.

At Cheshire Community Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that our funding priorities reflect the real needs of the communities we serve. We regularly consult with the local voluntary sector through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and ongoing feedback to understand their experiences and the challenges they face. In addition, we work closely with key stakeholders – including infrastructure partners, public sector bodies, and local businesses – and are active members of networks that gather and share insight on emerging needs across Cheshire and Warrington. To ensure our decisions are grounded in robust evidence, we also monitor local data and trends using trusted sources such as the ONS Local Profiles, the North West Poverty Monitor, and NPC’s Local Needs Databank. This year we have performed in-depth consultations in Crewe, Macclesfield and Congleton, as well as running an impact group in Warrington. This combination of direct consultation and data-driven insight helps us target our resources where they can have the greatest impact.

Our vision is for local groups in Cheshire and Warrington to have access to grant funding, focused on addressing local need and empowering marginalised communities. This support is provided through the generosity of local people and businesses with a deep commitment to the region.
