Meet with us to talk about your circumstances, passions and hopes for the future. Choose which of the five pillars of our mission align with your own values and ambitions for your giving. You can choose anything from one to all five. We will create a fund for you, in whatever name you prefer, whether you're a business, a family, an individual, or giving in remembrance of someone else. You invest your first donation into the fund (usually £10,000+).

Our grants programmes invite local organisations to apply for funding for their work, addressing the pillars of our mission. We assess these applications and do due diligence on the organisations, checking things like safeguarding and governance. We hold a decision-making panel which can include experts and those with lived experience of an issue, Applications are scrutinised in detail and if a donor wishes to observe they can do so; donors tell us they are impressed by the expertise and thorough nature of these assessments, far beyond what they'd be capable of alone.

When the most impactful projects are approved for funding, we will contact you about the ones we think align with your giving aims. So for example if we know you're passionate about addressing isolation for older people, we'll offer you a project which intends to do this, whether that's through telephone befriending, a luncheon club, or something more innovative. You are the expert in your passions; we are the expert in grantmaking; the charities are the experts in their unique communities.

You can decide whether or not to allocate your funds to the project/s we offer you. You might want to part-fund alongside other donors, or be the sole supporter. We offer expert advice but you have the final say. Charities are notified of their grant award and can begin their vital work.

The grantee keeps us informed of the progress of the project, in line with its scale - our expectations are proportionate so a small grant will not involve burdensome communication from them; a larger grant has higher expectations. At the end of the project they complete monitoring to allow us to measure the impact of the grant. 

We meet with you annually to deliver an impact report. This usually takes the form of a presentation, giving photos, sometimes videos, case studies and social impact data from your funded project/s. Donors tell us they leave this meeting feeling inspired and moved by the impact of their generosity. Most take that opportunity to 'top up' their fund or plan for the next funding cycle.
