For Jack, launching a fashion brand was never just about clothes—it was about creating something meaningful. With a deep passion for sustainability and a commitment to ethical, high-quality production, Jack and his business partner set out to build a brand that challenges the norms of fast fashion.
A £500 grant from the SWEF Enterprise Fund, delivered by Cheshire Community Foundation, gave Jack the vital early-stage support needed to get started. The funding allowed them to purchase 50 premium-quality t-shirts—kickstarting their product development and enabling them to explore different local printing techniques in line with their sustainable values.
"The SWEF grant helped us make that first move—testing quality, refining our production, and building a brand that reflects our values."
The path hasn’t been without challenges. From identifying cost-effective printing methods to planning logistics through Shopify and navigating demand forecasting without prior sales data, Jack and his partner have embraced a deliberate, research-led approach. Every decision is aligned with their long-term mission: to launch a brand that prioritises quality, sustainability, and exclusivity.
As they prepare for a soft launch in April—supported by high-profile influencers—they’re balancing hype with a thoughtful rollout to ensure they can deliver exceptional products and experiences to early customers.
"This journey has taught us a lot. From sourcing to shipping, it’s a constant learning curve—but we’re building something we truly believe in."
With revenue on the horizon, Jack hopes to apply for an additional SWEF grant of up to £1,500 to scale production and expand operations. His story is a clear example of how targeted funding can empower young entrepreneurs to take bold, value-driven ideas from concept to reality. Jack’s journey reflects the power of planning, purpose, and community support—all critical elements in building a sustainable business with heart.
