Thanks to a £633 grant from the SWEF Enterprise Fund, delivered by Cheshire Community Foundation, young entrepreneur Brandon is well on his way to establishing a successful professional landscaping business.

Brandon applied to the SWEF Enterprise Fund with a clear vision: to invest in high-quality tools that would allow him to provide reliable, professional services and stand out in a competitive industry. The grant enabled him to upgrade his equipment much earlier than planned, significantly improving the finish of his work and boosting his confidence.

The grant has helped my business as it’s allowed me to get newer equipment quicker to add a very professional finish to each job.

Like many new business owners in trades, Brandon has had to navigate the challenges of seasonal demand, particularly in winter months. But with resilience and a clear strategy, he’s now planning for sustainable, long-term growth—hoping to expand his business, lead a team, and continue serving his community year-round.

I hope to grow the business where I can have a team with me and cover more jobs in one day, and where I don’t have to worry so much come the winter time.

Brandon’s story highlights the real impact targeted funding can have—relieving financial pressure, enabling smart investments, and sparking the momentum needed to turn ideas into thriving enterprises. As his business continues to grow, Brandon will also be eligible for a further £1,367 from SWEF to help accelerate his plans.
